Yes. It's been a while. I know. Just over 2 months in fact since the last time the Roach seems to have had something new to share with the world. I say "seems" though, because that isn't entirely true. My powerful mind continuously comes up with strange thoughts (other than the ones dealing with world domination). However the time I have been getting lately to share them with my loyal fans (we've hit 86 now!) has become more scarce than honesty amongst our political class.

"Why?" you may wonder. Well because politicians are a more evolved lot from the future who have decided to come back to the past and make fools of us simple folk...

Oh, sorry. Why I don't have time of late is because, as the interesting looking pies to the left indicate, my online time is shrinking. You may also notice a green area that seems to have expanded by a large amount, just like my waist. Well the Roach has been hooked and booked, and will soon be cooked. Although I thought I made it quite clear to Niki I intend to be a guest at our wedding, apparently one still needs to prepare for it - and it takes a considerable amount of flying back and forth between Bangalore, where I stay, and Bombay, which is my home. So for several weekends in a row, I have been unable to work on the site. And before that there was Bad Company 2 of course.

So although I have not got hitched yet, I have got a sense of how things to come might be. Some of my more "experienced" friends (the married ones) were also kind enough to give me a Married Life 101 recently. All these things made me want to understand the way things would be - visually. What you see to the left is 2/5th of a sequence I thought would be something nice to put up in the art section.

"Hang on a moment. Art section?" Ah yes. 'tis finally open. It currently doesn't have much up though, as I am still in the process of digging up all my old works of art to put up. It will probably contain a bunch of interesting photographs too, once Niki & I become the proud parents of a fancy camera. Along with things I draw for the site, and other Photoshopped stuff I create, I also plan to get back to actually using pen and paper. I already have an idea for something I call "The Circle of Life" that I've done a rough sketch of.

The problem with the hand-drawn art is that

  1. I don't have a scanner, and other things to be bought for the house post-wedding are higher priority. Like kitchen-ware. Don't ask me how that helps me draw, but apparently it is a necessity.
  2. I haven't used a pen and paper for anything more than signing on checks for a long long time. However, given that they don't bounce, I guess there is some hope.
All in all, I'm sure there's going to be a lot of art headed your way, eventually!

Oh and before I forget, there are 2 small but nice features I've added to the site. The obvious one is the floating links to the right, that allow you to skip my blabbering and jump straight to the comments. And the other feature? See below:
